On being thankful

Do you ever stop and really think about everything you have to be thankful for? For me, this has been something that's been on my mind for a while now. Don't ask me why, I haven't had a near death experience or anything like that. So what exactly does being thankful consist of? How do you show thanks or appreciation? To figure out what I am thankful for, all I do is take a moment and think about every person, opportunity, or item I have in my life and I try to imagine what I would be like without them. If its something I could live without, I am still thankful; but if it is something that would cause some serious changes in my life, that's when I stop and try to really apreciate that I have that certain thing/person/opportunity. I have been trying to get in the habit of thanking my creator for everything He has blessed me with. Here's a few of the things I am thankful for:

- My health and the health of my loved ones
- The job that I've recently acquired
- Having a roof over my head
- Having parents that are loving, caring, and for the most part, understanding
- Running water, electricity, and access to modern technology
- A car that runs well
- Good friends that are always just a phone call away

As you can see, my list isn't complex, or filled with too many material things, but these are the things that I am truly thankful for and that I sometimes take for granted. So if you haven't done it lately, take a moment to really appreciate what you have in your life, you may not realize how long your list may be!

On another, random note... I went to the fair last night with my love and some good friends of ours and had a blast!

Between rides!

The ladies :)
