Weekend Update

This weekend was great. Derek and I went to another wedding! Some friends of his got married Saturday afternoon at a Country Club overlooking the Coosa river, it was so beautiful and I'm so mad at myself for not snapping a picture.

After the reception Saturday night, we joined some of our friends at their new home and sat around a fire (check that off my to-do list!).

Sunday we layed around most of the morning and then went to dinner for his Mother's birthday (so many birthdays to celebrate in October!). Also, on our way to Derek's parents, I saw a sign for a pumpkin patch not far from their house, and you can bet I will definitely be checking it out to get a pumpkin to carve and make yummy pumpkin treats. All in all it was a pretty good weekend spending time with good friends and family. And now I'm getting ready for my first day at my new job tomorrow! I'll have one week of orientation then I'll be put on the floor under a "mentor" nurse before I'm really on my own. I'm so excited and so thankful to be blessed with this opportunity. I hope you all also had a wonderful weekend as well!
