Hello and Happy Monday! I bet you guys notice some changes around here? Life as I Pretend to Know It is now Geez, Louise. I have been wanting to make the change to a more personal blog title (Louise is my middle name) for a while now, and just had some time to do it over the weekend. I am still in the transitioning phase so bear with me, and keep your eyes peeled for a brand new blog design from Erin, coming soon! You can still follow me on twitter (now @geezlouise23) and instagram (@kalynlouise23) (shameless plugs). YOLO
In other news, this weekend was fun and relaxing, we didn't do too much of anything but it was nice to not have to work. Speaking of work, remember last week when I said I had some exciting changes in the making? Well, I've been promoted! Not exactly promoted... but there has been a full time position available (as the admissions nurse) for a while now, which I couldn't apply for (I can only work part-time because of school). The job has been posted for a while, and on a whim, I asked the Director of Nursing if I could fill in, just until they found a permanent replacement. After a few days of training, they decided they like me enough to keep me and I will officially be working with the inside sales team on a part time-basis. I'm so thrilled about this new opportunity (and not working weekends) (and getting to wear real clothes instead of scrubs)!
Now that I've got that out of the way, lets recap the weekend, shall we?
Friday:
Friday after work, my car went kaput in the middle of the parking lot (as I was driving it). I eventually got it to crank back up and took it to a shop (its been giving me trouble for a while now). Derek was mowing grass after work, so I had the option of helping him or sitting in the truck while he worked. You can see what I chose.
Saturday:
Saturday, we decided to head to the river on the little boat to do some bow fishing. Derek just got my reel set up and my bow weighted for me so we wanted to test it out. Unfortunately the engiene over-heated (some dirt dobbers decided to build their nest in the cooling line) and we weren't able to get any real shooting in. We picked up my car and went our separate ways. I came home, watched a movie, and made blueberry cobbler. Pretty much the easiest dessert in the world to make. And freakin delicious. I'm pretty sure it's considered healthy too, I mean, it does have blueberries.

Yay for business casual!

Sunday:
We didn't do much besides run some errands, which included buying a boat. This makes three now. Derek has special plans for this one thought, which is going to require a lot of time away from home working on it with a friend of his, but I'm pretty excited about it. Other than that I did some reading and studying for class this week. I'm such a good student. Ha.
