6 Things You Should Know

1. What's the best piece of advice anyone has given you?

Don't give up. I don't know who exactly said it to me, or when, or if it is something I even told myself. But it is definitely the best advice I've ever heard or followed. I've had my share of failures in life and if I hadn't followed that advice, then I wouldn't be where I am today. Sometimes you things don't pan out as planned and you just have to find a different way.

2. If you could meet any blogger in person, who would you choose?

Juliette, didn't you just get through complaining about how hard it was to just choose one blogger and now you're making me answer the same question?? (Are you just trying to get me to say I want to meet you, because I totally do). But for real, I'd love to meet Tami from Friday Morning Buzz, mainly because she is the only other person I know that enjoys a good shower beer and taking sweaty selfies.

3. Blogs you're loving right now?

4. What's your biggest struggle in life?

I would have to say not being so stubborn. I have a really hard time admitting when I'm wrong and being humble about things. I get really mad and irrational very easily and I'll blow up at people over the littlest things. My saving grace is that I'm usually pretty quick to realize it and apologize. I struggle with keeping my room and my car clean. I blame this on genetics though. Seriously, I'm exactly like my aunt.

5. Why did you start blogging?

I had graduated and hadn't found a job yet, so I spent a lot of time reading blogs and I decided "What the hell?" and started a blog of my own. I was such a newb at first but since starting I've gotten really into it and made a lot of friends.

6. What's something you love about yourself?

I love that I got my mom's good genes and I don't often have acne. I love that I can have fun doing pretty much anything from reading to swimming to playing softball to going out with friends. I love that I'm a nurse.

7. Favorite thing to do in your spare time?

Um. Blog, read, hang out with Derek, do anything on the water, exercise.

8. Tell us something we don't know about you.

I feel like I'm a pretty open book but I'm sure there are plenty of things you don't know about me.
-I was captain of my hs volleyball team for three years in a row and I was chosen to play on a tri-county all star team (over about 100 other girls).
-Since I'm writing this while watching Pitch Perfect, I'd thought I'd share that this is the 6th time I've watched this since I bought it (less than two months ago) and I'm not ashamed to say it.
-Me and my co-workers could probably recite the whole Forrest Gump movie with each other.
-I made a really high score on my ACT and could have gone to any college in the state (or probably the South) but I chose an average school based on a boy. Oh well, you live and you learn.

9. Who inspires you?

I've talked about what inspires me to blog before, but if we're just talking about life in general, I'd have to say these two ladies right here:

My Grandma on the left and her mother (Mama Teen) on the right. These were two of the most inspirational ladies I knew. Neither of them are with us today, but I know having them watching over me is the biggest blessing I could ever ask for.
