Labor Day Recap + Birthday Giveaway!

I vote that three day weekends become a thing that happens all the time. I feel like everyone deserves Monday's off. On one hand this weekend seemed really long, with so much going on, and on the other hand it was so short. Friday night Derek and I had a dinner date then watched a couple more episodes of The Bridge, we're finally caught up now so we don't have to episode purge anymore.

Saturday was filled with college football, finger foods, and good friends. And there's not much else to say about that. Sunday my lil broski came to visit and we took him bow fishing for the first time and I have to say he did pretty darn well. Monday was a completely lazy day consisting of lounging on the couch, watching movies on ABC family and  baking some tarts.

To make up for my lame weekend I've got a surprise for you all! Last week (on August 27th) my lil ole blog had it's one year birthday, and because I'm a bad blog-momma, I totally forgot about it. So today I'm celebrating by hosting my very first giveaway!

Just wanted to let you know that some of the links are incomplete! They are missing slashes and not working.
