September Goals

I used to do this thing where I listed my goals for the month/week/season/whatever. Buuuuuttt I haven't done that in a while so I figured why not. Plus I've seen some others 'round blog land doing the same thing and as they say, when in doubt, use someone else's idea. Or something. So here are my goals for the month of September.
Add an additional $1500 to my savings account
As I've mentioned a time or two, Derek and I are working on buying a house. We've talked with a mortgage lender and they suggested that we wait a few more months for our credit to build. Boo. I decided to look at the bright side and use these extra months to save some more dough.

Change my hair
I had this listed on last years fall goals, and I dyed my hair red for the winter. I absolutely loved it but right now my hair is literally two toned and that needs to change ASAP. Before I moved to the "city" I was able to get my hair done (cut/highlighted) for close to $60. Now it's anywhere from $90-120 and that is ridiculous buuuttt not quite as ridiculous as my head. Any suggestions? Short, long, blonde, brown?

Get back into the swing of things
Ever since I fell and fractured my arm, my gym habits have suffered. As in I've only been once in the last three weeks. I know most of you probably think I'm crazy for wanting go to back but my days just don't feel the same without those extra endorphins from my morning workout. I've been itching to get back in the gym, but I know when I go I'll be limited, thus causing extra disappointment and frustration. Basically I'm just ready for this dang arm to be back to normal.

Create a budget
This one will be the hardest one by far, since I no longer work full time. My paycheck fluctuates a little every month so it makes it a little difficult to set a budget. It's also made it hard to put the extra $$ into savings. I think if I create a budget and stick to it, I'll be able to put all of the extra into savings at the end of the month.

Study hard and make good grades
This is my goal for all of nursing school but especially this semester, as this is "the hardest semester" according to our teachers but they always say that. Regardless, working as a nurse and going to school is NO FUN, especially with the crazy schedule they decided to give me this semester.

What are your goals for this month?

Budgets are so hard, some day when I'm independently wealthy I think I'll just not have one.

I made a budget at the beginning of this year, and it's allowed me to pay of a lot of debt! It's hard, and I always feel broke, but it's so nice paying stuff off!

You could always check out the nearest cosmetology school. I know they are a cheap alternative to getting your hair done. There are teachers who make sure nothing goes wrong so you don't need to worry about that :)
I've been wanting to try out an hombre!! :)

For budget I suggest taking a look at what your lowest pay has been over the last however many months you can go back and then base your budget around that. If you earn more then it would just be a bonus for you to funnel into savings or be a treat. I complain about working out sometimes but I never want to be unable to. Hope you get back to it sooner rather then later.

I need a budget more than anything in my life right now. I am a horrible spender, as for the rest of your goals, you go girl! :)

Agreed with the gym! I got my wisdom teeth out a while ago, which I used as an excuse to not workout, but life really is so much better with a workout in the morning!
