Here it is... the moment you've all been waiting for! Okay probably not, but here is my Christmas/New Years recap. I hope you're ready for a lot of pictures.
We spent Christmas Eve/Day with Derek and his family. I was sick as a dog, I could only breathe through my mouth and even that was uncomfortable. But I sucked it up through present opening and dinner with his family. Which by the way was an actual formal Christmas dinner, with everyone sitting in the "real" dining room and passing each dish from person to person - instead of the all out circus that usually happens in my household.
We went to my parents the weekend after Christmas and had a blast! We opened presents as soon as we got there on Friday night (maaayybeee I'm a little impatient) and I got the BEST PRESENT EVER. My mom and dad got me the camera I have been wanting and I nearly peed my pants with excitement over it.
Even though I got this super awesome camera, I failed to take any great pictures with it. I planned to take family Christmas pictures but it was rainy and cold so no such luck.

New Years Eve was spent at our local watering hole, even though I had to work the next day. We stayed until midnight, and cheersed with cheap champagne with our closest friends and brought in the New Year with a bang. I have a lot of high hopes for 2014 - a lot of big plans and a lot of changes, changes I'm looking forward to.

That all sounds like so much fun! Except for being sick ... that sucks like, a LOT. I'm excited for your new camera!!!

Congrats on the new camera. My family is the free for all present openers and serve yourself kind too so it is hard when we have to be all patient and such, doesn't always work! ;)

yay for your DSLR! i have yet to figure out how to use mine and (shamefully) use the auto setting but my goal this year is to actually LEARN how to use the damn thing!
