Fun-filled Weekend

Hi there and Happy Monday to everyone! I hope you all had as good of a weekend as I did. I know most of you, however, haven't had the Monday that I've had...where I get to hang out at home all day in my sweatpants watching The Talk while doing laundry and catching up with some friends. But hey, that's okay cause tomorrow is Tuesday, which will be my Monday and all of you can point and laugh then.

This weekend was tons of fun. Friday night, I just hung out alone and went to bed pretty early (still getting used to those 12 hour shifts). Saturday I did a lot around the apartment and that night went to a haunted hayride with some friends. Before the actual hayride though, we met up with about 20 people and had a "hayride to the hayride" which was pretty fun. We all piled into a cattle trailer and drove a few miles to the haunted hayride, besides the wind, cold, and smell, it was great.

On the hayride to the hayride. We had the bright idea to sit at the very front of the trailer where the wind was the worst. So. Cold.

The actual haunted hayride was pretty exciting too, with masked riders on horses, witches, serial killers, clowns with chainsaws, and hillbillies from Deliverance (I think that's what they were going for?) there was something that everyone could be scared of.
On the haunted hayride.... tried to crop out our photobomber as much a possible.

Sunday we spent the afternoon at D's parents watching the NASCAR race (I think I've become a true fan now, my dad would be so proud.) And we spent that evening with some friends making drunk chicken and watching scary movies. It was all our first time making the chicken that was and it was a little bit of an adventure.

All in all, a good way to spend my three days off. Even though I didn't get to dress up for Halloween or carve any pumpkins, I had a good time with some good people. I hope everyone else had an excellent weekend and didn't let Monday get to them! TTFN
